This is a feature enabled in iOS by the apple. When you see cleaning, what happening is that the operating system is cleaning the cache and temporary files of the application.

Regarding the significance of this, this cleaning helps to free the space and if you want to back up your data to the iCloud or something else, the process becomes simple and fast.

Basically i Pad device ask to """ deleting cache """and""" temporary files"""" so that iTunes does a """backup""" of your i Pad, and that """backup is smaller and fast"".

And also be conclude that apps deleting """unneeded app"""" files stored in the """Caches and temp directories""". This helps """free up space""" and """reduces the amount of data """" that will be synced when the app is synced OK
