What should I do if the Wifi setting is getting disabled on iPad?

What are the steps to resolve the graying out of the wifi settings on my iPad? Is this an issue with the hardware of the device?

This is a rare situation that comes up in the latest ipads. The user needs to follow the steps mentioned here in a sequential order to get the issue resolved. First, you need to check if the iPad is in the Airplane Mode or not. If it is in the Airplane mode, you need to change it to the regular mode. If the Wifi settings are not active and still in the grayed out mode, then you need to update the OS of your iPad to the latest one that is available. Then you need to reset the network settings on the iPad. Once that is done you need to restore the settings from the iTunes. This could solve the issue.

Check the air play mode first. If it is in air play mode then turn on to normal mode.
Update your iPad to latest OS.
Now reset network setting to get rid of this issue.
Then Restore the settings from the iTunes.
