I am trying to update my iPad 2 to the latest iOS 6 version so the process was started but for past 3 hours it showing “Sync in Progress” and nothing happens? What might be the issue? Can you please give me solution for this problem? Thanks you.

If your ipad got struck while updating the software that is ios 6 then you have do the following things :
Go to the Settings menu and then tap in the software upgrade settings so that you can have a look at the download of software.
If you got the settings then there you can notify that the downloading update software.
You can stop the downloading process so that you can reboot the device and it can be turned on to this easier previous software.
You can work out with that with out having any problem.SO this is the best possible way for you solve this issue.

##connect your device to computer via data cable
##click on iTunes apps
##click on summary option
##click on update option
##click on update device software
##after successful update disconnect your device
##restart your device
