Unable to import photos from SD card to iPad 3

While I import photos from SD card to my iPad 3, only some of them will appear on my iPad. How can I import other photos?

Re: Unable to import photos from SD card to iPad 3

You can import photos from SD card to iPad 3, only if they are in a folder named DCIM. Therefore while copying photos to card; you should first create a DCIM directory off the root of the card. Put the photos underneath the directory. You should name the file with exactly 8 characters without using any space. You should give the file extension along with it. It should be in the similar format as written by the camera on card. If you have correctly followed these steps, then you can import all the photos from this DCIM folder.

If the name of the folder is DCIM then only you can import photos from SD card to iPad3.
So when you are coping photos, you need to create a DCIM directory of the root of the card.
All the photos must be put under this directory.
The file name should be 8 characters with out any space.
    Also give extension.
Follow all the above listed steps to import photos from SD card.

Re: Unable to import photos from SD card to iPad 3

The Camera Connection Kit is actually two gizmos, one that lets you plug USB devices into an iPad, and the other of which is an SDcard reader, small and simple. You plug it in, slip an SDCard into the slot, and, well, that's what you're curious about, right? :-) So here's what happened when I plugged an SD Card into the Camera Connection Kit gizmo hooked up to my iPad...
The Photo app is automatically launched and you see a new tab along the top, "Camera". Then there are tons of outlined photo thumbnails:
Give it a minute or two and you'll see all the photos previewed on the iPad and displayed neatly.
At this point you can click on "Import All" and have all the photos sucked onto the iPad, or you can skim through the pics and import a subset of them by tapping on the best of them, then tapping on "Import" on the top right.
Turns out when you go to import your selected subset of photos.
When the import process is complete...
note that there are two new albums on the iPad: "Last Import" and "All Imported"

To import photos from your SD card to your ipad3 you should have a file by name DCIM.
    This
DCIM is a directory which contains/makes path to your ipad from SD Card.
You should give a name to that file with 8characters, which do not include any spaces.
At the same time you should provide a file extension to it.
    Hope this will help you...........

Re: Unable to import photos from SD card to iPad 3

first make sure you've a DCIM directory, or else make it if not present by default.
now name the file of exactly 8 characters without spaces and must give extension as the formats are supposed to be same in both.
now you can import your pics from this DCIM directory.
    all the best.

Re: Unable to import photos from SD card to iPad 3

here you can have the reasons for that are
if sd card is not inserted properly then it will show you that error.
otherwise if any dust particles are there then ipad can't take the data from the sd card so it will show you the error.
or sd card may not be working properly.

    thanks.............
