Unable to find ‘Edit’ button on Contacts app since upgrading iPad 2 to IOS 5

When I choose a contact from the group of contacts saved in Contacts app on my iPad 2, I can find ‘Edit’ button to alter the contact details at the top right corner of the screen. But, that button is missing from my iPad after installing IOS 5 update into it. In what way can I restore that button?

Go to the home screen by either pressing the ‘Home’ button or closing the tabs of recently running apps. Navigate through app icons visible over there and locate the ‘Settings’ icon. You can launch the ‘Settings’ app by tapping over that icon. The app includes a list of all default settings available in your iPad. Check that list and tap ‘iCloud’ option from it. Find out the ‘Contacts’ item and toggle the switch next to it into ‘ON’ mode. After that, press the ‘Merge’ button pop up on the screen. This will restore the ‘Edit’ button at the top right corner of the ‘Contacts’ app screen.
