Since upgrading my iPad 2 to IOS 6, I can access the VIP folder to save important mails received through my e-mail account. But when I tap over the ‘VIP’ option, I am not able to view the ‘Add VIP’ option to add the names of new mails. How can I alter the VIP settings to see this option?

Restart your iPad first by making use of Sleep/Wakebutton. You can see a red slider on iPad screen while holding down that buttonfor about 10 seconds. Slide that slider to switch off the iPad and power it onby pressing the same button until you can view Apple Logo. If you can’t add thenames after a reboot, then perform a reset on your iPad. In that case, you needto use both Sleep/Wake and Home buttons. Press and hold those buttons togethertill the Apple Logo become visible on the screen. Ignore the red slider that appearswhile holding down the buttons.

There may be a some problem in your ipad.So,one reset the ipad and again try to add the names to VIP folder.
For resetting follow the below steps
---> Hold the 2 buttons one is home button and another one is sleep button.
---> Press the button for at least 15 seconds.
---> Hold until the apple log appears.
---> At this time ignore the red slider.
---> After home screen visible you can release the both buttons.
Now try to add the names to I folder.Even if unable to add contact the ipad specialist.
If anytime your i Pad is unresponsive then you have to reset the device. And it done by below one.
Soft Reset:
:: Just "press and hold" the Sleep option until you gets a slider on a i Pad screen.
:: And then drag the slider.
:: After that "press and hold" the Sleep options until you get a "Apple" logo on a i Pad screen.
If this does not solve the problem then try the "Hard Reset" below.
Hard Reset:
:: Just "Press and hold" the Sleep button with the "Home" button for a few seconds.
:: After processing the steps you will get a "Apple" logo and see your device complete the Hard Reset.
To avialable add names into vip folder in ipad to slove this problem you need hard reset your ipad just follow the procedurehold home and sleep at same time for few second after some time slider will appears ignore the slider and hold the buttons untill the apple logo appears on ipad screen now it reset hope this will help you
