Trouble in downloading a movie from iTunes to iPad 2 upgraded to IOS 6

Every time I make an attempt to download a movie from iTunes into my iPad 2 running on IOS 6, I keep getting the ‘Cannot connect to iTunes Store’ error. I tried to change the date and time by few years and also alter the DNS. Still, I can’t find any noticeable change in the situation. Can you please suggest me a method to avoid this error message?

As a first step, perform a reset on your iPad with Sleep/Wake and Home buttons. You need to press and hold these buttons simultaneously until silver Apple Logo start appearing on the screen. If this solution does not work on your iPad, then go to the home screen and find out ‘Settings’ icon. Tap over that icon for viewing the list of default settings options on your iPad. Navigate through that list and hit the ‘General’ option. Once you find the general settings, choose ‘Date and Time’ option from it. Slide the switch next to ‘Set Automatically’ item into ‘OFF’ mode. Then, set the date ahead by one year. After that, try to download a movie from iTunes and see whether the issue still persists.
