Reducing Cellular Data usage in iPad 2 upgraded to iOS 6

I have upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS 6 last month. Since then, the cellular data usage is too high on my iPad. Is there any way available to reduce it?

Make a single press on the ‘Home’ button and wait until the icons get displayed on the home screen. Browse through those icons afterwards and tap over ‘Settings’ option. This will bring up a list of settings options on the screen from which hit the ‘General’ option. Scroll through the general settings afterwards and locate the ‘Cellular’ option. By tapping on that option, you can view ‘Use Cellular Data for’ label. It is possible to find several applications under that label. You can toggle the switch next to the applications you don’t want to use into ‘OFF’ mode.
