    Procedure for changing the Safari user agent on iPad 2 without a jailbreak

    When I browse websites through Safari on my iPad 2, I am finding only the mobile version instead of full website version. I searched for a solution and found that it is possible only by changing the user agent on Safari. But, I am not interested to jailbreak my iPad for that. Is it possible to change the user agent without jailbreaking my iPad?

    Connect your iPad with PC and open iTunes in it. Then, go to the left side bar of the iTunes screen and click on the name of your iPad shown under ‘Devices’ option. Download iBackupBot into your PC and install it. The next step required is to turn off automatic syncing by navigating into Edit > Preferences > Devices and selecting the checkbox near ‘Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically’ option. Quit iTunes and unplug your iPad from the PC. Launch iBackupBot on your PC afterwards and plug in your iPad to it again. Once the iBackupBot detect your iPad, choose the latest backup from the left side and open Library/Preferences/com.apple.mobilesafari.plist file. Click the ‘Cancel’ button on the dialog box pop up on the screen afterwards. Go to the bottom part of the file and enter the following lines before </dict>
    <key>UserAgent</key>
    <string>Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/535.11 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/17.0.963.56 Safari/535.11
    </string>
    Close the file after clicking on ‘Save’ disc icon. Then, select the checkbox reside near Library/Preferences/com.apple.mobilesafari.plist and press the ‘Restore’ button. Once the restore process get finished, launch a website using Safari and check whether it is possible to view the full website version.
