Preventing iPad 3 from getting too hot

I bought iPad 3 and it was working fine. But, now it is getting heated up much without any particular reason. What could be wrong? How can I avoid this?

It could be that some app may be running in the background and you haven’t closed it yet. You can find the currently running apps on the taskbar and delete the app which causes problem from there. Double tap the ‘Home’ button to view the taskbar at the bottom part of the screen. Different types of app icons can be seen on the taskbar. Tap and hold down an icon from that group until it jiggles. This will bring up a minus sign at the top left corner of each app icon. You can quit the app which cause problem by simply tapping over that sign. Check whether the issue gets solved after performing these steps. If not, bring up the task bar again and close all the currently running apps on your iPad.
