It is possible that your during upgrading some file is missing so due to that problem is occur. So for solving this you should go for Factory restore. If problem is solved by factory restore then it is ok otherwise go for upgrading again.

iPad 2 not connecting to POP/SMTP server after upgrading from IOS 3.2.1 to IOS 4.2.1 Since upgrading from IOS 3.2.1 to IOS 4.2.1, my iPad 2 can’t connect to either POP or SMTP server. It seems that the advanced server options are not working on my iPad. What are the procedures required to solve this issue?
