Messages send from iPad 2 appears as from iPhone

When I try to send messages via my iPad 2, it will show up as sent from my iPhone. To avoid that, I have set up a new Apple ID with my iPad and verified the new e-mail address. Still, I am getting the same issue. What steps should I do to get rid of this issue?

Go to the home screen with the help of ‘Home’ button and locate the ‘Settings’ icon. By the time you find that icon, make a single tap over it. When you can view a list of settings options, hit the ‘Messages’ option. The next step required is to locate the ‘Send & Receive at’ option and tap over it once. You can then several options under ‘iMessage are reached at’ label. If you can view the number associated with iPhone among that options, tap over it until the check mark get disappeared from it. Tap ‘Add another e-mail address’ option afterwards and type in the e-mail address you have set up with new Apple ID.
