It is always desirable that you lock your iPad when not using it. For locking iPad manually, you will have to tap the Sleep/Wake button. For automatic locking, you will have to go to Settings. Then click on General tab. Then tap the option that denotes Auto-Lock. Finally you can set the interval to a shorter time such as 1 minute.

    Hi

You may lock your ipad as this saves the battery life and also enhances the performance of the pad. You can lock your ipad in two ways :-

    1. MANUALLY :-

You would notice a button on the right top edge of your ipad. This button is called the Sleep button. When you are finished working on your ipad, you may press it and the ipad would go to sleep or you can consider it to be locked.

    2. AUTOMATICALLY :-

For the automatic locking, you need to go to the Settings application and there you need to go to the General settings. From there you would see the option of the Auto Lock. Please select that and set the time after which you want you ipad to lock itself automatically once not in use.

    Hope this helps

    All the best
