iPad 2 shows ‘No SIM inserted’ message since installing IOS 6 update

I have recently installed IOS 6 update into my iPad 2 for enhancing its capabilities. After that, I am not getting any type of services through it. My iPad just displays “No SIM inserted” message. What are the troubleshooting steps required to fix up this issue?

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button located at the top right part of your iPad for few seconds. Once you catch the sight of red slider on the screen, you can release the button. Move that slider with your fingers after that. On doing so, you will be turned off by itself. You can then remove the SIM card and insert it again. Then, hold down the Sleep/Wake button again until the silver Apple Logo pop up on the screen. Once the home page become visible on the screen, check whether it is possible to access the services with the SIM card.
