iPad 2 not showing Wi-Fi bars since upgrading to iOS 6.1.1

Whenever I connect my iPad 2 to Wi-Fi, it will not show up the bars on the start screen. Even though it is possible to find them in settings, I canít establish the connection. This issue started happening on the device after upgrading it to iOS 6.1.1. What are the steps needed to be taken for avoiding this issue?

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button for few seconds and slide the red slider to turn off the iPad. Then, disconnect the router and wait for 30 seconds. After that, boot up the iPad by pressing and holding the same button until the iPad screen displays Apple Logo. If this does not work, navigate into Settings->Wi-Fi from home screen and toggle the switch next to ‘Wi-Fi’ label into ‘OFF’ and then ‘ON’ mode. Another solution is to renew the IP address on your device. Go to Settings->Wi-Fi for that and tap the blue arrow appears near the Wi-Fi network you want to connect with the iPad. A menu will be displayed on the screen afterwards from which tap the ‘Renew Lease’ button.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:: For the WiFi or network related problem, you just reset the network settings.

:: So go to the Home screen by tapping the Home button.

:: After that open the "settings" option from it.

:: Now here select the "General" option.

:: Once it opens, you select the "Reset".

:: Here you tap "Reset network settings" on your device.

:: This will fix your WiFi bars problem.
