Re: How to resolve the error “waiting for activation”?

There have been many reports regarding this error which pops up for iMessage. The error “waiting for activation” pops up and after a while the user gets the message “Activation unsuccessful”. Firstly, the user has to check if he is using a valid apple id. Then the user has to make sure that there is proper internet connection and also the date, time and location has been set correctly. The user can try opening the iMessage, then going to the message settings. Now a pop up will come mentioning that the carrier might change from SMS messages and then the user needs to select cancel. Now the iMessage will work but, the messages will be sent via email. The user can try restarting the iPad and also resetting all the setting of iMessage.

If you are facing this type of problem then first check something like:-

    * Your apple id is valid or not.
    * All the date , time settings are set in right way or not.
    * Internet connection is working properly or not.

After checking all these aspects, open iMessage.
    --Select message settings.
--Then a pop up will appear which you have to cancel.
    --Now the iMessage will work.

If this procedure don't help you then reset the iPad & also iMessage settings.

Re: How to resolve the error “waiting for activation”?

Generally this 'Waiting for activation' error is seen in imessage app.
BY canceling a popup in your imessage app you can resolve this error.
Verify the following on your ipad to resolve this error:
-Check weather date, time and time zone is accurate or not
-Check that you have an applicable Wi-Fi connection.
-Go to the settings and then turn off the imessage
-Then go to the imessage and there you will find a pop-up message that your carrier may charge for SMS message and select cancel.
-At the moment you select cancel imessage will come to active, but it may not be up to the mark.
-So it is better to active imessage by an email, as you can send messages only through email.
    -Then restart your device.
    Hope this will help you.................

    Hello friend,

    fix for the error.

You have to completely reset your IPAD and set it as a, "new phone".

I advise you to copy all the information that you want/need onto iCloud first.

After this my facetime and imessage workS perfectly! Hope this helps.

On a side note as well your contacts won't be erased either but save them on iCloud just in case.
