How to make the Mail app to access new data less frequently?

I would like to know whether it is possible for making the iPad application such as Mail to access new data not often as it consumes battery power. If possible, how to do this?

Re: How to make the Mail app to access new data less frequently?

You will have to understand that applications such as Mail can be set for fetching the new data wirelessly and that too at specific intervals. The fact is that more the e-mail data is fetched, the more battery life will also get reduced. You can improve the battery life by fetching the new data manually by going to Settings. Then click on Mail, Contacts, and Calendars. Then you will have to click on Fetch New Data. Then tap Hourly option so that frequency of data fetching can be reduced.

    Hello Friend,

You'll need to tweak with your settings in order to prevent your Mail and other apps to interact with Server more frequently. All you need to do is just make simple changes in your settings like:-

Go to Settings>>>>Mail,Contacts and Calendars>>>>>Fetch New Data. And then select "Hourly" option. Now you'll have to manually fetch the data if required ,However iPad would still fetch data from Server in every hour.Keep in mind that these settings would affect all apps universally.Applying these settings would also save you a lot of battery.

    Hope It Helps!

    Thanks and Visit again.
