How to know the available storage space on iCloud for backing up data from iPad 2?

When I try to back up the data in my iPad 2 through iCloud, I get the message “There is not enough iCloud storage space available”. I was not able to find out the actual storage space available on iCloud. What has to be done for finding it?

The first step required is to launch the ‘Settings’ app on your iPad. You need to tap the ‘Settings’ icon available on the home screen for that. Then, go to the left column of the list inside the app and tap the ‘iCloud’ option. Navigate into the right column and hit the ‘Storage & Backup’ option located at the bottom part. You can then find ‘Total’ and ‘Available Storage’ label under ‘Storage’ section. The memory displayed next to ‘Total’ label is the total space available on iCloud. It is possible to find the currently available space by checking the value on the right side of the ‘Available Storage’ label.
