You should open the Settings on your iPad and select “General” option from that. Then select Wi-Fi option followed by Network option. Tap the blue arrow near the wireless router and tap “Forget this Network”. Then go back to Wi-Fi to rejoin the network you forgot. Again take General option and select ‘Reset’ and ‘Reset Network Settings’. Then reboot your iPad and connect to Wi-Fi network again. Hope this improves the network speed.

Re: How to fix Wi-Fi reception problems on iPad 3?

I was very happy when I got my hands on the new iPad. I didn't notice this at first, but when I took the tablet into my backyard, and my iPhone was able to pick up my router signal without a hassle; the iPad didn't pick up the network at all. This became a nightmare for me. The worst part was no matter where I looked, I always found the same step by step guide to reset the network configuration, which worked only for the older models that don't recognize your home network at all. Finally I landed on a review of a case from Pong Research. They produce these really interesting cases that have an antenna in between layers of the back cover, which redirects and boost the wifi signals into/from the antenna built-in the iPad, this fixes the new iPad 3 wifi range issues .

If you are facing any problems with your wi-fi connection, the first thing that you have to do is just to turn off and turn on the router.

It will work if you do so.

    Sometimes it won't work.

In such cases, try to do this.

Go to Settings and then wi-fi settings.

Here choose the option "Leave this network".

Go to Home page again and then to settings and switch your wifi settings.

This will also work many times.
