How can I achieve better readability with Kindle app on iPad 2?

Even though I can use Kindle app on my iPad 2 for reading books without any issues, I canít find the controls for adjusting the features like font and brightness. I also want to change the background display for the app. What should I do to accomplish this?

Launch the Kindle app on your iPad and locate the book you want to read. You can then open that book by simply tapping on it. Then, tap over the middle part of the book. This will bring up some icons on the bottom part of the screen. Search for the font icon from that group and make a tap on it. You can choose the font size by going into the top row visible on the screen. It is possible to change the background color by tapping on white, black or sepia in the middle row. If you want to increase the screen brightness, move the slider on the bottom part. Tap on the screen for getting back to the book and use new settings.
