    How can the backup process be permanently disabled from iPad?

    While syncing the device the backup process takes a lot of time. So, I would like to disable the backup process. I am using an Apple Mac device with OSX Mountain Lion. I like to know how to disable this permanently?

    Re: How can the backup process be permanently disabled from iPad?

    Connect the iPad to the Mac via a USB. After that, close the iTunes. Then open up the “Utility” folder and then launch “Terminal”. Type the command “defaults write com.apple.iTunes DeviceBackupsDisabled -bool true” on the terminal. Then press on the enter button. This will disable the process of backup completely. In case if you want the backup to be enabled just enter the comment “defaults write com.apple.iTunes DeviceBackupsDisabled -bool false” on the terminal. This will turn the backup ON.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

    Friend, you can disable the back up option using terminal
    and it is done by below steps.

    :: Launch the Utility section.

    :: Open the terminal window from it.

    :: Now here you type in the command
    “defaults write com.apple.iTunes DeviceBackups Disabled -bool true”.

    :: And then press enter.

    :: Now you can restart the i Pad and see your backup process is
    permanently disabled.
