Getting red circle with exclamation mark while importing photos from SD card to iPad 2 using Apple’s SD card reader

It is possible to import photos from SD card into my iPad 2 with the help of Apple’s SD card reader. But in most of the cases, the device just shows red circle with exclamation mark during the transfer process. How can I fix up this issue?

I had that problem with importing photos from my 5DMkII to my iPad. I found this thread, https://discussions.apple.com/thread...art=0&tstart=0 , and from it learned that the problem was caused by having iPhoto (which I had just installed) on my iPad. I deleted iPhoto and the problem went away. This problem is only caused on cameras with very large images. Testing today, I did not have the problem with my 7D (18MP) while I had it with my 5DMkII (21 MP).
