After the Upgrade of the OS to ios 6 then you should reset all the settings as before :
SO if you want to Rotate your ipad's screen automatically then do follow :
Open the Settings menu of your ipad.
Then open the device settings and then Display settings so that you can see Auto Rotate Display Option.
Select that option then you can Enable the Auto rotate option so that you can have the Rotation of display automatically.
