Auto-lock is getting delayed on iPad 2

Even though I have set up my iPad 2 for getting locked up automatically on going into idle mode, it takes too much time. I donít want this much delay in locking the screen. Is it possible to reduce the time for auto-lock?

Re: Auto-lock is getting delayed on iPad 2

You can change the time set for auto-lock in your iPad by going into settings. For that, first get into your iPad’s home screen and hit the ‘Settings’ icon. When the ‘Settings’ app opens on your screen, go to the listing in left pane. Locate the ‘General’ option and make a single tap over it. On doing so, you can view ‘Auto-Lock’ option on the screen. By tapping that option, you can a get list of available lock periods. Select a time from that list as per your need by simply hitting it.

-->>Tap Settings on the iPadís Home screen.

-->>When Settings opens, tap General and then tap Auto-Lock.

-->>A list with the available time delays for Auto-Lock will appear. Use the one the best suits your iPad usage and press the Home button to exit Settings.

In the ipad ,there is feature of auto lock with some time delay.Mostly in the ipad , there is 2 minute time delay for auto lock is default. It's recommeded.you can do more time delay for auto lock by auto lock setting , but you can not make this delay too short less that 2 minute.

Setting of time delay for auto-lock

    >> Go to "Setting" and Tap on "General"
    >> now tap on "Auto-lock".
    >> now you will see the auto lock time delay list such as below. From that , you also see the arrow on current auto lock time delay.

    2 minute
    5 minute
    10 minute
    15 minute
    Never

    >> From that , you can select appropriate auto lock time delay.

In the Never option , there is no auto lock.if you want to lcok then you can only manually.

    Hi

Yes indeed its always recommended that when you are not using your ipad 2 device please either manually lock it or set up settings such that it turns off automatically. This would increase your battery life and also increase the performance of it.

For it, you have to Click on Settings. There you would come across the General tab. Please tap on it and then you would see the next page in which there would be the Auto Lock option a few options from the top. Thus you would be able to see the default timing which is set there. Click on it and you would see the list of available duration's which you can set up after which the device would lock itself automatically.

Select the minimum available timing and so that you can use your device efficiently.

I am sure this would help you.
    Regards
