Alert tone is not working on iPad 3 while receiving Face Time call

While I receive a Face Time call, my iPad 3 does not make any ringing sound like iPhone. How can I fix this?

Mute switch: When the switch is set to Silent mode then your iPad doesnt make any sound when you receive new mail or an alert pops up on the screen.

You can turn notifications on or off for specific apps by 2 ways:
    • Method 1: Tap to highlight Notifications on the left side of the screen and then tap an app on the right. Within that specific app, you can turn sounds, alerts, or badges on or off.
    • Method 2: Scroll down to the Apps section on the left side of Settings and tap the app with the notifications you want to alter. Note that the app you hope to fiddle with doesnt always appear in the Apps section of Settings.

Go to Settings > Phone > Facetime > On. The iPhone 4 will automatically send an SMS(international for non US users) and within 10 seconds your Facetime will be active.

check whether the mute switch on the side is set to silent. unmute the switch. check your settings for switching on the sounds and also turn on the alerts in notifications if they are not.

You have to check in the face time settings wether the mute switch is not kept on

If it is just go ahead and turn it on

    Also turn on the notifications

I think you disable the sound settings in facetime app so enable the sound ,check the ipad sound settings it is in disable mode or enabled mode or upgrade the face time app.

    respected sir,
follow the steps given below to enable the sound alert for the incoming call for facetime
1)firstly go to facetime and check the facetime sound settings and in the sound settings enable sound for incoming calls
2)now check the sound settings in your ipad and enable full sound for ipad
3)even if you did not get the sound for incoming calls from facetime by doing above two tasks then check whether the speakers are working or not.if they are not working then go to nearest apple store and repair them
