You can fix up this issue by resetting the network settings. For that, you should first make sure that your iPad is in the home screen. Then, you should tap the ‘Settings’ icon appear on the home screen. You should then tap the ‘General’ option from the given list. After that, you should tap ‘Reset’ from the items given under that option. You should tap ‘Reset Network Settings’ afterwards to reset the network settings on your iPad. You should then go back to the home screen by having a single tap on the home button. Finally, you should check whether you can connect your iPad with 3G network or not.

The upgrading to new IOS 5.1.1 you must restart your device otherwise not applications will work perfectly.
---> After upgrading all network settings will be reset.So,again give the new network settings related to IOS 5.1.1.
For entering the network settings follow below steps
---> Tap """ settings """ then """ General """.
---> Click the """ Network settings """.
---> Enter the settings press conform button to save it.
After upgrading all settings went to default mode.
So,you have to set wi-fi settings according to your network.
For settings tap the settings > General > Network settings >Change settings.
Restart the device after changing the settings.
