Every time I try to import photos to iPad 2 using SD card in camera connection kit, I get a message “no photos to import”. But I can import photos successfully while connecting camera directly via USB cable. Why is it not working with SD card?

hi,
Try to remove the SD card and wait for 10 minutes or So
After that insert it and see if you are able to import the photos or not
This may be due to some of the data being corrupted
